Foundations New Media: 3D Modeling, Surrealist Objects
Students were asked to create a 3D model that draws on the history of Surrealism.
By combining elements of two disparate objects, unprecedented relationships were created.

Fall 2013-14
Using a software called Blender, students created 3D models with rendered surfaces, basic lighting, and basic camera movement. The video to the left is a compilation of all projects from Fall 2013.

Spring 2013-14
Using Blender, students created 3D models and prepared them for print. Shapeways, an online 3D printing company, manufactured the prints. Students also uploaded their 3D files to Sketchfab, an interactive display website. Scroll down to see the interactive models (use your mouse to navigate).
